Jeffrey Katzenberg reduces price of Park City ski home
DreamWorks Animation head and founder Jeffrey Katzenberg has reduced the price of his ski retreat in Park City, Utah, by nearly 25% -- from $20.5 million to $15.5 million.
Set on 1.57 acres in a gated community, the 14,100-square-foot mansion features multiple living rooms, a formal dining room with a fireplace, a breakfast area, a billiard room, a game room, an indoor swimming pool with a spa, a sauna and caretakers’ quarters for a total of seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
The rustic Western interiors of the tri-level ski home were designed by Naomi Leff, whose work includes Ralph Lauren’s Double RL Ranch near Telluride, Colo. Floor-to-ceiling windows flank a fireplace in the main living room, which is overlooked by landings off the dual staircase. Beams span the soaring ceiling.
Views take in Deer Valley, the ski resorts and the city lights. Balcony, deck and covered patio space off the stone-and-wood structure extend the living area outdoors. There’s a two-car garage and a walkout basement.
