Basketball pro Andrei Kirilenko scores an off-market sale in Bel-Air

Professional basketball player Andrei Kirilenko and his wife, Masha Lopatova, have sold their home in Bel-Air off-market for $3.4 million.

Kirilenko, a 13-year NBA veteran who is currently playing for CSKA Moscow in Russia, bought the property, which overlooks the Stone Canyon reservoir, in 2013 for $2.75 million.

Sited on a hillside lot of more than half an acre, the tiered property features sweeping cityscape, mountain and ocean views.

The home, built in Traditional style, has a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen/breakfast nook, three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 2,285 square feet. Wood grain tile flooring and rose quartz countertops are among the interior features.

Outdoors, the grounds contain a brick-lined swimming pool and spa and a large viewing deck that faces the reservoir. A rooftop deck sits above a one-bedroom guest house.

Kirilenko, 34, was suspended indefinitely by the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this year after refusing to report to the team following his acquisition from the Brooklyn Nets. Following a three-month stalemate, he was waived by the 76ers, allowing him to rejoin CSKA Moscow, with whom he played for in 1998-2001 and 2011-12.

The Russian-born forward was an all-star with the Utah Jazz in 2004 and earned NBA All-Defensive First Team honors in 2006. Internationally, Kirilenko has twice been named FIBA’s Europe Player Year of the Year (2007, 2012) and won a bronze medal with the Russian national team at the Summer Olympics in 2012.

With his Bel-Air sale in the books, Kirilenko can now turn his attention to finding a buyer for his contemporary-style residence in Salt Lake City.

The 7,760-square-foot home, built in 1995, returned to the market last year and lists for sale at $2.5 million. The two-story home has vaulted ceilings, grand formal areas and walls of glass that take in the downtown cityscape. A covered patio space and a pool and spa highlight the grounds.

An additional lot of a little more than a third of an acre, which is being utilized as an extension the the main grounds, is being offered separately at $500,000.
