For the kid with everything: A $900 Porsche go-kart
The trouble with being a kid is the complete lack of luxury vehicles.
No longer.
Porsche has unveiled a pedal-powered go-kart designed for kids weighing up to 110 pounds. It features a tubular steel frame, low-profile inflatable tires, a sport seat, composite rims and a rear braking system.
All for just $900.
Now, there will be some who will scoff at the idea of spending almost a thousand bucks for a toy that many kids, being kids, will quickly either outgrow or lose interest in. But it’s never too early to instill a healthy sense of brand awareness among youngsters.
Today’s go-kart drivers are tomorrow’s full-size sports car shoppers. And considering Porsche’s new 918 Spyder hybrid will set you back $845,000, it’s never too soon to set a child on the road to mega-consumption.
