Disney, Imangi Studios team up for ‘Temple Run: Oz’
In the latest version of Temple Run, following the yellow brick road is crucial to getting a high score.
Disney Mobile Games and Imangi Studios on Tuesday released “Temple Run: Oz,” a special version of the popular mobile game based on the film “Oz the Great and Powerful,” which opens Friday.
In the Oz-themed game, users play as Oscar Diggs, or the Wizard of Oz. They run through the Land of Oz and its various areas, including the Whimsie Woods and the Dark Forest. There’s also a bonus level where users ride on a hot-air balloon collecting coins and gems.

Players must avoid collapsing bridges, “snap dragons” and trees on the road all the while being chased by flying baboons as they try to keep running as long as possible.
“Temple Run: Oz” is the second Temple Run game to have a Disney theme, following 2012’s “Temple Run: Brave.” It’s also the second Temple Run game this year after “Temple Run 2” launched in January.
Users can download the new game for 99 cents wherever they live in the U.S. “Temple Run: Oz” is available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch from the Apple App Store and for Android devices from Google Play.
And for all those wondering, no, there’s no level in Kansas.
