Follow Apple’s iPad mini announcement live here
Today is the day Apple is expected to debut the iPad mini (or, possibly, iPad Air).
We’ll be live-tweeting the media event, which starts at 10 a.m. Pacific time, from the California Theatre in San Jose. The Tech Now blog will also publish posts as news happens, so check back with us to see what’s new with the iPad and other company announcements.
If you’re wondering what to expect from Apple, tech blogger Sal Rodriguez has a roundup of iPad mini rumors from the last few months.
Based on what we’ve heard so far, the company will probably release a 7.85-inch device with a coated aluminum back cover similar to the iPhone 5. The tablet will likely feature Apple’s new Lightning dock connector and two speakers, and come in cellular and Wi-Fi-only models.
Although the iPad mini is likely to be the star of the show, expect to see a slew of smaller product announcements related to the company’s Mac mini, iMac and 9.7-inch iPad lines.
