Twitter rolling out archive tool that lets you see all your tweets

Want to go to back and read your old tweets? Soon you might be able to.

Twitter announced Wednesday that it has begun to roll out an archive tool that lets users see all the tweets they ever sent, including retweets.

The San Francisco-based social network said the feature will first get to users who have their Twitter account default language set to English. Then over the coming weeks and months, Twitter will get the feature to the rest of its users.

“If you don’t see that option in Settings today, know that it’s on the way!” the company said in a blog post Wednesday.

Twitter CEO Dick Costolo announced the tool earlier this year and told users the company’s goal was to release the feature before the end of 2012. A few users began to spot the tool last weekend in what Twitter said was a test, and now it appears the archive feature is being expanded to more users.

If you’re one of the few users getting the archive feature Wednesday, you can find it in your account settings and scrolling down to the bottom of the page. If you have the feature, you’ll see a section that says “Your Twitter archive.”

To get all of your tweets, simply click the button that says “Request your archive,” and Twitter will email you when your archive is ready.
