Facebook ‘sexts’? Report says social network plans Snapchat clone
Want to send a saucy photo? Facebook is looking at a way to do it discreetly.
The 1-billion-user social network is reportedly set to release a new app before Jan. 1 that will be similar to Snapchat, an app often used to send “sexts,” or sexually explicit content, according to All Things D, citing unnamed sources.

Snapchat, which has grown in popularity in recent months, allows users to send pictures and videos that disappear after a set time period. It is popular among users who want to send “sexts” but don’t want the pictures or the videos being saved or ending up on the Internet.
The Snapchat clone would be Facebook’s fourth mobile app offering, after its main application, and the Messenger, Camera and Pages Manager apps.
For now, Facebook has declined to comment on the report, but with 2013 just two weeks away, we should find out soon how true this report is.
