Who should win the National Book Awards?
Tonight is one of the most glamorous in American literature: It’s the National Book Awards. The gala in New York City is an event for all 20 finalists (well, almost all: The publicity-averse Thomas Pynchon is unlikely to attend), their publishers and other interested parties. Currently, the finalists’ books have silver medallions, but by the end of the night four will be adorned with gold. Who do you think should win?
