Building Skills Partnership
Melissa Lupercio joined Building Skills Partnership (BSP) in July 2015 as the Orange County program coordinator, expanding programs and assisting legal permanent residents in becoming U.S. citizens. In August 2021, she transitioned to BSP’s development coordinator, focusing on grant management for statewide funding opportunities. In addition, she spearheaded the Carnegie Corporation’s Family Engagement Grant, expanding BSP’s parent engagement work to Orange County and beyond. With a B.A. in sociology from UC Santa Barbara and a master’s in school counseling from Concordia Irvine, Lupercio is dedicated to providing first-generation students with the tools for success in higher education. She also played a key role in providing digital access and skills to OC program participants through the distribution of free Surface Go2 devices in Spring 2022, empowering immigrant workers to participate more fully in their community.
