Katie Carpenter has over 15 years of accounting and tax services experience. She joined the commercial real estate field after working with a myriad of real estate clients at a local CPA firm and learning the industry’s challenges in accounting, billing, and taxation. Since joining the company, her greatest accomplishment has been her promotion to vice president of finance in 2021, a recent feat for Carpenter which exemplifies her determination to improve upon the company’s in-place technologies and tactics. She is the first VP of finance and one of the first female executives on the Matthews Executive Leadership Board. Carpenter oversees commission payout and payroll for over 500 agents and employees, showcasing her superior organizational skills, leadership ability, and communications practices. She has utilized her extensive knowledge to renovate and revamp the entire Matthews accounting department.
