Jia Liu Caruso

Jia Caruso is the director of administration for Woodruff & Smart, a law firm based in Costa Mesa. She directs the firm’s service departments including all non-lawyer employees, building services, facilities, office services, records, paralegals, and administrative assistants, and oversees human resources functions including policy, compliance, recruiting, and accounting. Caruso leads with compassion and has more than 10 years of legal administration and law firm leadership experience. She works closely with the firm’s Executive Committee to develop and implement management policies and procedures, which align with the goals of the firm. Outside her “day job,” she serves as the chief financial officer of OC Pom Rescue, a nonprofit Pomeranian rescue that is female-led, foster-based, and rehabilitation-focused. Caruso also runs Dirty Napkin Bakery, making bespoke cakes and desserts for clients throughout Southern California.
