Company Group Chairman
Johnson & Johnson

Celine Martin started her career with Johnson & Johnson nearly 25 years ago at Ethicon, where she helped accelerate the global adoption of minimally invasive surgery. From there, she’s had a hand in growing many of Johnson & Johnson’s subsidiaries, including Biosense Webster, a global leader in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. On her journey to her current role as company group chairman of Johnson & Johnson’s portfolio of high-growth MedTech businesses, she has developed and shaped strategies that lead to business transformations and top performance across financials, innovation, and talent advancement. Martin is well known growing emerging start-ups to billion-dollar companies to improve the quality of life for millions of patients across the globe. Her ability to pioneer and drive growth within Johnson & Johnson is equally as impactful. She has played a critical role in advancing the ambition of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, including defining new standards of care for atrial fibrillation, strokes, and minimally invasive surgery. Under her leadership, Biosense Webster had their highest-ever Q1 earnings in 2023. In this last quarter, Martin oversaw incredible progress in Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s efforts to develop cutting-edge technologies and solutions, such as pulsed field ablation (PFA), that have the potential to transform standards of care for patients with AFib. As a female leader within the world’s largest healthcare company, she is a vocal advocate for women in STEM and aims to use her platform to inspire the next generation of female leaders. Martin plays an active role in Johnson & Johnson’s Women’s Leadership & Inclusion employee resource group. Currently, half of Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s leadership team is female - an amazing feat for equity across the board. She focuses heavily on mentorship and participates in a reverse mentorship program to stay connected with younger colleagues. Her love for learning and mentoring stems from her education. Martin holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in marketing management from EM Normandie Business School.
