Emma Caulfield got her first big break as Brandon Walsh’s girlfriend Susan Keats on the original “Beverly Hills, 90210” back in 1995. She did about 30 episodes before leaving the show the following year.
In 1998, the San Diego native was cast as Anya in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Though she was supposed to be on for just a limited time, her character proved so popular that she became a regular.
Caulfield landed her first big movie role in the 2003 horror film “Darkness Falls.”
She’s also guest-starred on TV series such as “Monk” and “Private Practice” and has several indie films in the can, including “Why Am I Doing This?,” “Confined” and “Removal.”
Caulfield has a recurring role in the new TeenNick TV series “Gigantic,” premiering in July, about two teenagers whose parents are movie stars. The series reunites Caulfield with her “Buffy” producer Marti Noxon.
And when she’s not acting, she’s co-writing with Camilla Rantsen, Christian Meesey and Thomas Mauer the popular Web comic series “Contropussy,” which revolves around a feline that’s an ordinary housecat by day but on the prowl for excitement by night.
The writers will appear Wednesday at Meltdown Comics on Sunset Boulevard in L.A.
