FEEDBACK
Thank you for the article on the exhibition in France (“It’s the Year of the Women,” May 24). I am an art student at the Art Center in Pasadena majoring in illustration and fine art. I found the writing on such an exhibition exciting and extremely pertinent.
I saw the “WACK!”(Art and the Feminist Revolution) show in Vancouver and enjoyed seeing a large body of work by female artists take center stage, but I found myself wishing that their work could be viewed more frequently by artists and the public.
I can only hope that more female artists will find themselves on the walls with the men we know so well. Women deserve their fair share of wall space in museums. I hope museums in the U.S. will follow the Pompidou’s example and curate their own permanent collection show or just work more female artists onto their wall space.
