Remembering the wrong guy

Re “Oakland gunman remembered,” March 26

A parole violator kills four police officers, and the community responds by holding a rally in his memory. What a disgrace.

The city of Oakland has thousands of people who deserve recognition for their community service. Lovell Mixon should be mourned privately and forgotten promptly, for he has contributed nothing but treachery and heartache.
