at Colorado 7, Seattle 1: Garrett Atkins and Todd Helton each had three hits and the Rockies, who are 13-4 under interim Manager Jim Tracy, matched a franchise record with their 11th consecutive victory. The Rockies won 11 games in a row Sept. 16-27, 2007.
at Cleveland 3, St. Louis 0: Cliff Lee (4-6) took a no-hitter into the eighth inning but settled for a three-hitter. Yadier Molina opened the eighth inning with an opposite-field drive down the right-field line that hit off the wall for a double, breaking a string of 20 batters in a row set down by Lee.
at Philadelphia 11, Boston 6: Jimmy Rollins hit a home run as part of a six-run seventh inning to help the Phillies bust the game open and avoid a three-game sweep.
at Chicago Cubs 3, Minnesota 2: Ryan Theriot drove in Derrek Lee with a bases-loaded single with one out in the ninth inning and the Cubs ended a losing streak at four games.
at San Francisco 7, Oakland 1: Nate Schierholtz hit an inside-the-park three-run home run and Matt Cain (9-1) earned his seventh win in a row.
at Kansas City 7, Cincinnati 1: Brian Bannister (5-3) gave up one unearned run in eight innings and Miguel Olivo hit a home run and drove in four runs.
at Tampa Bay 5, Washington 4: Pinch-hitter Willy Aybar hit a run-scoring double off the third base bag in the eighth inning to give the Rays the go-ahead run.
Chicago White Sox 5, at Milwaukee 4: A.J. Pierzynski singled with two outs in the ninth inning against Trevor Hoffman (0-1), who had a string of 18 consecutive scoreless innings and had tied the franchise mark for a reliever set by Earl Stephenson in 1972.
at Pittsburgh 6, Detroit 3: Dontrelle Willis (1-4) fought with his control for the third consecutive start by walking eight in 3 2/3 innings, leading to all of the Pirates’ runs. Ross Ohlendorf (6-5) limited the Tigers to one run and two hits in six innings.
Florida 11, at Toronto 3: Ronny Paulino hit two home runs and finished four for five, Josh Johnson pitched his second complete game of the season and the Marlins swept a three-game series.
at Baltimore 11, Atlanta 2: Ty Wigginton hit two home runs and Robert Andino drove in three runs and stole home to lead the Orioles.
Houston 8, at Arizona 3: Hunter Pence ended an 0-for-12 slump with a home run and Lance Berkman also hit a home run for the Astros.
at Angels 6, San Diego 0: Juan Rivera hit two home runs and Jered Weaver (7-2) earned his first career shutout.
Dodgers 6, at Texas 3: Casey Blake drove in four runs and Chad Billingsley improved to 9-3.
