Second opinions on Kennedy
Re “What he’s been living for,” July 26
Sen. Ted Kennedy is reported to have written for a newsmagazine: “I have enjoyed the best medical care money (and a good insurance policy) can buy. ... Every American should be able to get the same treatment that U.S. senators are entitled to.” Can he be kidding?
I don’t know details of the senatorial plan, but I suspect it may be somewhat more generous than what President Obama has in mind for us non-senators.

Lovely sentiments from Sen. Kennedy. Unfortunately, under Obama’s healthcare plan, I think he would be treated with a pain pill and transported to a hospice. Bless his service, and deliver us from his hypocrisy.
