at No. 19 North Carolina 28, No. 22 Georgia Tech 7: Ryan Houston ran for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to help the Tar Heels (7-2, 3-2) beat the Yellow Jackets (7-3, 4-3) at Chapel Hill. Cameron Sexton threw two touchdown passes for North Carolina, which ensured its first winning season in seven years. Georgia Tech finished with 326 yards rushing and 423 total yards, but never could sustain a scoring drive.
at No. 24 Florida State 41, Clemson 27: Christian Ponder threw for a touchdown and ran for another score and Antone Smith ran for two scores to lead the Seminoles (7-2, 4-2) over the Tigers (4-5, 2-4) at Tallahassee on Coach Bobby Bowden’s 79th birthday. The win makes Florida State bowl eligible for the 27th consecutive season -- now the longest streak in the country -- and keeps it tied with Wake Forest for first in the ACC’s Atlantic Division.
at Boston College 17, Notre Dame 0: Paul Anderson intercepted Jimmy Clausen twice, running one back 76 yards for a touchdown, as the Golden Eagles (6-3) extended their winning streak over the Fighting Irish (5-4) to six games.
at Wake Forest 28, Virginia 17: Brandon Pendergrass rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown, Kevin Patterson returned an interception for another score and the Demon Deacons (6-3, 4-2) defeated the Cavaliers (5-5, 3-3) at Winston-Salem, N.C.
North Carolina State 27, at Duke 17: Russell Wilson threw for two touchdowns and matched a season high with 218 yards passing to help the Wolfpack (3-6, 1-4) beat the Blue Devils (4-5, 1-4) at Durham, N.C., to end a four-game losing streak.
