Clear Channel buyout gets nod

U.S. communications regulators said Thursday that they had approved the buyout of U.S. radio operator Clear Channel Communications Inc. by two private equity firms.
The Federal Communications Commission voted to permit the acquisition of San Antonio-based Clear Channel by private equity firms Bain Capital Partners and Thomas H. Lee Partners for about $20 billion.
