Seating policy will lose money
By no longer allowing passengers with children to board first, Southwest Airlines has caved in to whining, self-absorbed business travelers who opted out of the reserved-seat system of other carriers (“Airline to end policy of letting families board first,” Sept. 19).
Compassion has been trumped by avarice, and the price will be paid in lost revenue. In the meantime, Southwest’s flight crews will have to improve their comedy routines to cool the anger of traveling families.
