Don’t forget Gus

Before USC retires the jersey of Harold Miner, it ought to retire Gus Williams’ jersey. Unlike Miner, he did not have a “cup of coffee” in the NBA; he broke the NBA career steals record (since broken by others) and won an NBA title with Seattle.

Young people who follow USC have no concept of how good Williams was -- in the era of Wooden, Walton, Wilkes, Hollyfield and Lee (and banners) across town.
