Holiday closures
Today is New Year’s Day. The following schedules will be in effect:
Government: All city, county, state and federal offices and courts are closed.
Mail: No delivery; post offices are closed.
Banks: Most are closed.
Libraries: Most are closed.
Schools: Public campuses are closed.
Trash collection: None.
Public transportation: MTA buses will operate on a Sunday schedule. Metrolink trains will not operate. All four Metro Rail lines (Blue, Gold, Green and Red) will be operating to get people to the Rose Bowl and Tournament of Roses Parade. Shuttles will take Metro riders to the float displays and the game. For schedules, visit www.metro.net.
