Boston 4, at Buffalo 1: Alex Auld made 44 saves and Marc Savard had a goal and assist to lift the Bruins. Auld was spectacular in his second straight win for the Bruins after being acquired from Phoenix on Thursday. Bruins second-leading scorer Marco Sturm was hit in the head with the puck in the first period and didn’t return.
at Washington 3, New Jersey 2: Jeff Schultz scored 53 seconds into the second period to help end the Devils’ point streak at 10 games. The Devils hadn’t lost in regulation since a 1-0 loss on Nov. 16 to the New York Islanders.
at Toronto 6, Tampa Bay 1: Jason Blake started a four-goal spurt in the second period and Chad Kilger scored twice for the Maple Leafs.
Detroit 2, at Nashville 1: Tomas Kopecky and Valterri Filppula scored and the Red Wings won their seventh in a row.
at Dallas 5, Edmonton 4 (OT): Brenden Morrow’s power-play goal in overtime lifted the Stars, who are 17-3-1 against the Oilers in Dallas since 1996.
Ducks 4, at Columbus 3 (OT): Chris Pronger scored a power-play goal with 1:45 left in overtime to give the Ducks the victory.
at Kings 4, Vancouver 2: Anze Kopitar scored the go-ahead goal and Jean-Sebastien Aubin made 26 saves for the Kings.
