at Western Michigan 41, Temple 7: Mark Bonds ran for two touchdowns and Londen Fryar returned a blocked field-goal attempt 38 yards for a score to lead the Broncos (3-1) over the Owls (0-4) at Kalamazoo. It was Temple’s 16th consecutive defeat.
at Southern Methodist 55, Arkansas State 9: Justin Willis threw four touchdown passes, including three to tight end Ryan Kennedy in the first half, to lead the Mustangs (2-2) over the Indians (1-2) at Dallas.
