It was Navy’s first overtime game, leaving North Texas as the only Division I-A school never to have played one.

at Kent State 38, Bowling Green 3: Julian Edelman ran for one touchdown and threw for another to lead the Golden Flashes (2-2, 2-0) to a win over the Falcons (2-2, 1-1) in a Mid-American Conference game at Bowling Green, Ky.

Central Michigan 24, at Eastern Michigan 17: Brian Brunner threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Brian Anderson in overtime to lead the Chippewas (2-2, 2-0) over the Eagles (0-4, 0-2) in a MAC game at Ypsilanti.

at Northern Illinois 48, Indiana State 14: Garrett Wolfe ran for 198 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead the Huskies (2-2) over the Sycamores (0-4) at Dekalb, Ill., extending Indiana State’s losing streak to 21 games.

at Akron 33, North Texas 13: Andre Walker ran for two first-quarter touchdowns and Luke Getsy passed for three scores to lead the Zips (2-2) over the Mean Green (1-3) at Akron, Ohio.

North Dakota State 29, at Ball State 24: Steve Walker completed 29 of 46 passes for 451 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bison (3-0) over the Cardinals (1-3) at Muncie, Ind.

at Toledo 41, McNeese St. 7: DaJuane Collins ran for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to lead the Rockets (2-2) over the Cowboys (1-2) at Toledo, Ohio.

at Western Michigan 41, Temple 7: Mark Bonds ran for two touchdowns and Londen Fryar returned a blocked field-goal attempt 38 yards for a score to lead the Broncos (3-1) over the Owls (0-4) at Kalamazoo. It was Temple’s 16th consecutive defeat.

at Southern Methodist 55, Arkansas State 9: Justin Willis threw four touchdown passes, including three to tight end Ryan Kennedy in the first half, to lead the Mustangs (2-2) over the Indians (1-2) at Dallas.
