Edmonton rolls past St. Louis
Marc-Andre Bergeron scored his first goal of the season, Ales Hemsky tied a career high with three assists and the Edmonton Oilers started a seven-game homestand Thursday night with a 6-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues.
Ryan Smyth had two goals, and Marty Reasoner, Fernando Pisani and Joffrey Lupul also scored for Edmonton.
Coach Craig MacTavish earned his 200th NHL victory. In six seasons, MacTavish is 200-168-61 -- second on the Oilers’ career list behind Glen Sather.
