Miami (Ohio) beats Bowling Green, 9-7

Mike Kokal threw for 130 yards and a touchdown Wednesday night to lead Miami (Ohio) to a 9-7 victory over Bowling Green at Bowling Green, Ohio. Bowling Green’s Sean Ellis missed a 25-yard field goal wide left with 35 seconds remaining that would have given the Falcons (4-7, 3-4 Mid-American Conference) a 10-9 lead. Miami is 2-9 and 2-5.

Don Strock has resigned as coach at Florida International (0-9), one of only two winless Division I-A programs and a team still dealing with the effects of a sideline-clearing brawl against Miami last month. Strock will coach the final three games....
