Record Travel Expected for Memorial Day
From Bloomberg News
A record 37.6 million Americans will take trips during the Memorial Day weekend, as high gasoline and jet fuel prices fail to deter holiday travel, AAA said in an annual forecast.
About 31.4 million vacationers, or 84% of the total, will travel by motor vehicle, up 0.7% from last year, according to AAA, the largest U.S. travel organization. Total travel will be 0.9% greater than a year earlier.
