Teacher Pleads Not Guilty in Abuse Case
A teacher at John Adams Middle School has pleaded not guilty to 12 felony counts of child molestation related to an abuse case from several years ago, before he was employed at the school.
Jose Samuel Adame, 45, who has worked at both Catholic and L.A. Unified schools since 1994, became the subject of a police investigation after the Los Angeles Archdiocese reported to police that he was suspected of molesting a boy in the late 1980s. Detectives then located a second person who said he was abused as recently as 2001. Adame was arrested earlier this week.
