Frontier Airlines to Fly L.A. to San Francisco
Frontier Airlines will start flights today between Los Angeles and San Francisco, returning discount service to the route.
The Denver-based carrier will have five daily flights each way between the cities, with plans to add a sixth daily flight each way in the fall. Frontier is offering an introductory one-way fare of $59 and plans to price its tickets below what had been typical on the route, airline spokesman Joe Hodas said.
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines abandoned service between Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International in 2001.
