2 Officers Hurt When Cruiser Is Rear-Ended
Two Los Angeles police officers were in listed in serious but stable condition Sunday after an alleged drunk driver crashed into their parked police car early Sunday morning.
Hector Bustillos, 38, was booked on suspicion of felony driving while under the influence of alcohol after his pickup truck rear-ended the police vehicle at 1:30 a.m., causing it to spin and hit the curb, said Officer Michael Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Bustillos was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The two Harbor Division officers, Criselda Pedro and Jeffrey Rivera, were in their cruiser when hit. They were taken to a local hospital, Lopez said.
