* Jesse Castellanos, Los Angeles Roosevelt: Hit a two-run double and scored the game-winning run in the seventh inning of a 4-2 victory for the Rough Riders, ranked No. 22 by The Times, over Downey Calvary Chapel at the Roosevelt tournament.
* Bryan Jackson, Burbank Burroughs: Drove in five runs and went three for three with a triple and a double, and the Indians defeated Grove City (Pa.), 14-2, in five innings in the championship game of the Kissimmee (Fla.) tournament.
* Jordan Haver, Long Beach Wilson: Hit a walk-off home run in the ninth inning and gave up only one earned run in 7 2/3 innings of relief during the Bruins’ 6-5 victory over Granada Hills Kennedy at the Redondo tournament.
* Casey Haerther, West Hills Chaminade: Hit his fifth home run of the season -- a walk-off, two-run shot with one out in the seventh inning -- and the Eagles defeated El Segundo, 4-2, in the Redondo tournament.

* Stacey Nelson, Los Alamitos: Pitched two no-hitters and struck out a total of 20 batters during the first two rounds of the Woodbridge tournament.
* Amy Tunstall and Shannon McCoy, Anaheim Esperanza: Combined for five hits and five runs batted in, and the Aztecs beat Laguna Hills, 9-6, in the Loara tournament final.
* Nickie Perez, Littlerock: Struck out 13 in a one-hitter and drove in the game-winning run in the ninth inning during the Lobos’ 1-0 victory over Pasadena La Salle in the Highland tournament.
