L.A. River Pollution
Re “State High Court Backs Clean Water Standards,” April 5: While citizens of Los Angeles are willing to voluntarily reach into their pockets to fund a $500-million clean water bond, the people’s “representatives” are in court fighting for the right to pollute the L.A. River with sewage.
How much tax money is being spent on this attempt to thwart common sense and the law? Perhaps it’s time that the investigation into City Hall ethics moved beyond the mayor’s office. Message to our leaders: Stop wasting money trying to defend the indefensible. Just do the upgrades. Clean up the water.
