Rosen Hired as Marketing Executive
MIAMI — The Dodgers added another executive in business operations Tuesday, announcing the hiring of Lon Rosen as executive vice president of marketing.
In addition to directing the club’s marketing efforts, Rosen, who has an extensive background in Southland sports marketing, will oversee communications, community affairs and government relations.
Rosen, 45, is the third high-ranking official in three days to join the reconfigured front office under new owner Frank McCourt, following Martin Greenspun, chief operating officer, and Gary Miereanu, vice president of communications.
“I am thrilled and honored to join this great organization,” Rosen said in a statement. “The Dodger name is world renowned and clearly a marketer’s dream.
“I am eager to work closely with Frank and Jamie McCourt and the entire front office. Together, with the players on the field, we will do everything possible to return a world championship trophy to the fans of Los Angeles.”
Rosen served as director of promotions for the Lakers, Kings and the Forum. A onetime sports agent, Rosen formerly represented NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson.
