Fidelity Investments said it would close its $7.4-billion Advisor Mid Cap stock fund to new accounts on July 30. Assets of the fund, which is sold through financial advisors, have more than doubled since the end of 2002, Fidelity said. The firm said it would open an Advisor Mid Cap II fund in August.
