Contractors Charged in Building Collapse

A Turkish court charged two contractors with “causing deaths by negligence” in an apartment building collapse that killed at least 60 people and trapped dozens more who have not been found.
Hopes dimmed of finding more survivors from Monday’s disaster in the city of Konya. The collapse has been blamed on shoddy construction. The two contractors, Vedat Kaya and Ismail Canlier, were ordered held pending trial.
