The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Jeffery S. Blanton, 23, of Fayetteville, Ga.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Blanton was among seven Marines killed Dec. 12 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Hawaii.

Melvin L. Blazer, 38, of Moore, Okla.; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. Blazer was among seven Marines killed Dec. 12 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Jason S. Clairday, 21, of Camp, Ark.; corporal, Marine Corps. Clairday was among seven Marines killed Dec. 12 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Joshua W. Dickinson, 25, of Pasco, Fla.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Dickinson was among seven Marines killed Dec. 12 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Robert W. Hoyt, 21, of Ashford, Conn.; specialist, Army National Guard. Hoyt was killed Dec. 11 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 102nd Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard in Bristol, Conn.

Jeffrey L. Kirk, 24, of Baton Rouge, La.; sergeant, Marine Corps. Kirk was among seven Marines killed Dec. 12 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Patrick D. Leach, 39, of Rock Hill, S.C.; chief warrant officer, Army National Guard. Leach was one of two soldiers killed Dec. 9 in an Apache helicopter accident in Mosul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 151st Aviation Regiment, Army National Guard in Columbia, S.C.

Hilario F. Lopez, 22, of Ingleside, Texas; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Lopez was among seven Marines killed Dec. 12 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Victor A. Martinez, 21, of Bronx, N.Y.; specialist, Army. Martinez was shot to death Tuesday during a convoy mission south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 364th Supply Company, 264th Corps Support Battalion, 1st Corps Support Command at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Joshua A. Ramsey, 19, of Defiance, Ohio; private first class, Army. Ramsey died Dec. 12 of noncombat-related injuries in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 95th Military Police Battalion in Mannheim, Germany.

Edwin W. Roodhouse, 36, of San Jose; specialist, Army. Roodhouse was one of two soldiers killed Dec. 5 when an improvised explosive device detonated near their Humvee in Habbaniya. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Greaves, Korea.

Gregory P. Rund, 21, of Littleton, Colo.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Rund was killed Dec. 11 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Andrew C. Shields, 25, of Campobello, S.C.; first lieutenant, Army National Guard. Shields was one of two soldiers killed Dec. 9 in an Apache helicopter accident in Mosul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 151st Aviation Regiment, Army National Guard in Columbia, S.C.

Franklin A. Sweger, 24, of San Antonio; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Sweger was killed Thursday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Hawaii.

Tina S. Time, 22, of Tucson; sergeant, Army Reserve. Time was killed Monday when the truck she was driving crashed into another military vehicle during a blinding dust storm near Nasiriya. She was assigned to the 208th Transportation Company, Army Reserve in Tucson.

Marvin L. Trost III, 28, of Goshen, Ind.; staff sergeant, Army. Trost was one of two soldiers killed Dec. 5 when an improvised explosive device detonated near their Humvee in Habbaniya. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Greaves, Korea.

Brent T. Vroman, 21, of Oshkosh, Wis.; private first class, Marine Corps Reserve. Vroman was one of two Marines killed Monday in enemy action in Babil province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Chicago.

Richard D. Warner, 22, of Waukesha, Wis.; lance corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Warner was one of two Marines killed Monday in enemy action in Babil province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Chicago.
