Questionable Survey

Re “Your Way for the Highways?” Dec. 14: As a traveling salesman in Southern California, I was very interested in participating in Caltrans’ online survey. Once online, I discovered that the carefully worded questions, with their pre-selected answers, did not allow for any comment.

Oh, I could have commented on rest areas, but I don’t have too much chance to use any in L.A. or Orange counties, as there are none. I wonder what this latest boondoggle is costing taxpayers? Maybe it comes from the same person who designed the exits for the carpool lanes?
