Official Accepted Gifts, Investigation Finds
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
San Jose Councilman Terry Gregory broke city laws when he took gifts and didn’t report campaign contributions, an ethics investigation found.
Gregory solicited some of the gifts, according to the San Francisco law firm hired by the San Jose Elections Commission to investigate.
Among the gifts Gregory allegedly sought were cases of wine worth up to $1,400 and baseball tickets.
The councilman may face censure by fellow council members later this month.
The report was released Thursday.
