Berlusconi Shows His Lyrical Side

Long before he became Italy’s billionaire prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi crooned on a cruise ship. Now he has co-written an album of love songs.
Berlusconi wrote lyrics for “Better With a Song,” which contains 14 ballads in the romantic Neapolitan style. A sunset graces the album cover; inside is a picture of the premier grinning.
Berlusconi does not sing on the CD. That falls to Mariano Apicella, who used to sing at restaurant tables. The two met at a restaurant in 2001.
