2 Dead, 1 Hurt in Crash on 6th Street Bridge
Two men died and a third was critically injured in a three-car collision Sunday on the 6th Street bridge, police said.
The driver of a sedan carrying two passengers apparently lost control of his westbound vehicle and collided with an eastbound car, according to Sgt. Ruby Malachi of the Los Angeles Police Department. The cars were then struck by a station wagon.
The driver and the front passenger of the westbound sedan died at the scene, Malachi said. A second passenger was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Skid marks and statements by witnesses suggested the car had been speeding, Malachi said. The other driver was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
None of the victims’ identities were released.
