Bob Hope at 100
THANKS for Charles Champlin’s beautifully crafted, refreshingly insightful celebration of Bob Hope (“A Funnier Century, Thanks to Bob Hope,” May 28). In an age when it seems too many of the brightest young newspaper writers are tripping over their own ethical lapses and journalistic indiscretions, it’s a pleasure to read one old pro bringing his many talents to bear in an appreciation of another old pro.
