Bomb Plot Reportedly Foiled in Capital

Afghan police foiled a bomb plot after they discovered explosives hidden in a fuel tanker being driven into the capital, Kabul Television reported.
The state-owned channel said police made several arrests but freed the truck driver after deciding that he had no knowledge of the explosives hidden in his vehicle. “They wanted to bring it into Kabul for a terrorist action,” state TV said, giving no other details.
