Blues Run Win Streak to Six
Reed Low, Al MacInnis and Keith Tkachuk scored on successive shots during a four-goal second period at St. Louis as the Blues beat the Nashville Predators, 7-0, for their sixth consecutive victory Wednesday night.
Predator forward Vitali Yachmenev broke his right hand in the first period.
Team doctors will assess the injury today in Nashville.
Florida 3, Dallas 2 -- Valeri Bure scored 3:21 into overtime at Dallas, and backup Jani Hurme made 42 saves as the Panthers handed the Stars their first home loss this season.
Boston 7, Washington 2 -- Brian Rolston had a goal and two assists at Washington as the Bruins extended their unbeaten streak to eight games.
Tampa Bay 3, New York Rangers 0 -- Nikolai Khabibulin made 24 saves for the 29th shutout of his career as the Eastern Conference-leading Lightning won at Tampa, Fla.
It was Khabibulin’s first shutout in 34 games, dating to a 1-0 win over the Rangers on Jan. 28.
Carolina 4, New York Islanders 2 -- Sami Kapanen, Jeff O’Neill and Niclas Wallin scored during an 11 1/2-minute stretch in the second period as Carolina rallied to win at Raleigh, N.C.
Pittsburgh 4, Ottawa 1 -- Mario Lemieux scored a goal and had two assists to lead the Penguins at Ottawa.
