From staff and wire reports
The federal government has awarded nearly $11 million to help UC Irvine and UC San Diego coordinate a nationwide effort to link computerized brain images of schizophrenics.
The three-year project of the General Clinical Research Center will be led by Dr. Steven G. Potkin, a UCI psychiatry professor.
Ten centers around the country will use MRIs and other technology to compare schizophrenics and healthy patients.
