David Gascon to Retire From LAPD
Assistant Police Chief David Gascon, who had hoped to become chief of the Los Angeles Police Department but was passed over in favor of William J. Bratton, will announce his retirement today, a department spokesman said.
Gascon, 53, will hold a press conference at 10:30 a.m. alongside Bratton outside police headquarters at Parker Center, Officer Jason Lee said.
