Indictment of Enron’s Fastow Expected Today
Federal prosecutors are expected to announce today that a federal grand jury in Houston has indicted former Enron Corp. Chief Financial Officer Andrew Fastow for his role in the energy firm’s collapse.
Allegations in the indictment reportedly will mirror a criminal complaint filed this month by the Justice Department.
That suggests that Fastow, who had been refusing to cooperate with government investigators, has been unable or unwilling to bargain away some of the charges against him by turning on his former Enron bosses, legal experts said.
