Stalking Case Victim Sues His Tormentor
The victim in a stalking case against the son of Britain’s top judicial officer has filed an emotional-distress lawsuit against Alastair Irvine, who pleaded guilty last week to terrorizing him and his girlfriend.
Karel Eric Taska, 19, sued Alastair Irvine, who pleaded guilty last week to terrorizing Taska and his girlfriend. The Superior Court suit alleges negligent infliction of emotional distress and seeks unspecified damages.
Irvine, 25-year-old son of Lord Chancellor Derry Irvine, stalked Taska after Taska’s girlfriend, Newport Beach tanning salon clerk Nicole Healy, 19, spurned his advances. Irvine threatened Taska and poured acid on his truck in June.
He was sentenced Oct. 24 to 16 months in state prison.
