Money for Trees

There are two interesting articles about the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors in your Oct. 10 edition: The board OKs $12.5 million for new trees and sidewalks near the new Disney Hall, and help may be on the way for the health system.

Isn’t it interesting that the supervisors can, with almost no discussion, vote $12.5 million for trees and sidewalks ... and no one says let’s put $12.5 million into health care and help save UCLA-Harbor hospital? Trees they spend money on; for people who need health care they go to Washington. You figure it out!
