City Asks Residents to Skip Halloween Party
From Times Wire Reports
City officials are dissuading people from attending an annual Halloween party in downtown.
The city has launched a multimedia advertising campaign asking people not to invite out-of-towners to the party and to avoid downtown. The campaign includes television spots, door hangers and print ads.
Officials say violence and vandalism have plagued the Halloween party in recent years. Last year, police arrested 65 adults and seven juveniles. Forty-four of those arrested did not live in the Chico area.
