Man Held in Sexual Assault of Ex-Girlfriend

Simi Valley police have arrested a man on suspicion of sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint.
Jesse Raul Fernandez, 26, of Simi Valley was taken into custody about 7 p.m. Wednesday after a 19-year-old Simi Valley woman told police that she had been assaulted in her home about 12 hours earlier.
The woman was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
Fernandez was arrested without incident at his home.
He was being held on $1 million bail at Ventura County Jail.
